Why slowing down can help you speed up and more through your workouts with ease and strength.

At MoveBetter.TV we love to get you to slow down...but we also know how great it can feel to work up a sweat and feel your muscles burn and you really challenge them.  So how can slowing down help give you that juicy burn in a way that will support you, not hurt you?

Going slow isn't just for beginners,  slower movement is essential for all of us (look at the number of elite athletes who put in daily Pilates and stretching into their routines). Why? because when you slow down your nervous system has the space and time to learn new patterns, efficient movement, that in turn allow us to create a more balanced body, a body that can move with ease. We are able to learn the strategy of movement.

When you speed up your movement you’re testing the strategies you’ve learned in our slower classes so you can really see for yourself if you’ve learned to move with ease even when challenged. Because this is what we’re all about: that you can still find the ease in the challenge whilst feeling worked.

And that is exactly what our new 10-Day Full Body Blast Challenge is about. Our fabulous teacher, Pip has put together the perfect 10-day challenge, to get get you working up a sweat using barre, hiit and her legendary cardio skills but all with a focus on technique so that you don’t injury yourself whilst getting fit. She gives you high and low impact versions so you can still work within your body’s limits whilst finding the appropriate level of challenge for you.

This 10-Day Full Body Challenge is perfect if you’re wanting to see for yourself if you’ve mastered the strategies we teach you in our Pilates classes. Can you take them into standing? Can you keep them when you move at pace? Can you keep them when you’re fatigued? Because it’s always good to challenge yourself so you can see for yourself what you need to work on, and can then take this information and bring it into your next Pilates class.

This plan is guaranteed to get you to work up a sweat but with a smile. Enjoy!
